Blog Design: January 2006 Archives

If you are looking for new themes and designs to help "spice up" your blog then you should subscribe to the Blogging Pro feed.

No matter which blogging software you decide to use you will probably get bored with the default template(s) quickly. While there are plenty of template resources available many people prefer to develop their own template from scratch or use an existing template as a base. If you are interested in templates in Wordpress then a few useful links might help:

• Rachel Cunliffe's blog provides many useful tips on blog design
• The wordpress documentation will help you understand which tags you can use

And if you are looking for inspiration you could do worse than spending some time browsing some of the existing templates and themes that are available. Bear in mind that some templates/ themes will only work with Wordpress 1.5, while others will only work with Wordpress 2

When I originally setup this blog last year I had intended to post to it on a regular basis. However due to a number of different things I slowly but surely moved away from it. So I've decided that this year will be different :) The theme in use is hopefully clear and easy to read, but if it isn't please let me know. Due to a number of issues with the current "stable" release of Wordpress I have decided against upgrading just yet.
