Following on the launch of the latest version of Movable Type I've setup a new site to track new plugin releases, tips, tricks and extensions to make the most of one of the more powerful blogging and content management solutions on the market at present.
If you are thinking of upgrading to Movable Type 4 or simply want to see what it has to offer, then this list of compatible and available plugins is a must.
It looks like Movable Type 4 should be released to the public in a couple of weeks time.
Earlier this week the developers made RC1 (release candidate 1) available to the public.
If you are working with Movable Type templates then MT Tags is a must.
It's an incredible resource listing all possible tags that you can use in your Movable Type templates.
It looks like there will be a flurry of activity in the world of blogging software over the coming weeks.
The wordpress team has released a number of point releases to address security issues over the past few weeks and are planning a major version release before the end of the month.
Meanwhile the Movable Type developes have been working on improvements to their software as well.
It wasn't that long ago that a search through any online bookshop would have returned very few results if you went looking for books about blogging and blogging software. If I were to have mentioned the social and business aspects of blogging I'd probably have found at most one or two books.
It's a very different story now!

Wordpress 2 (Visual QuickStart Guides S.) - I've always found these guides to be excellent. They may not appear to be targetting the more advanced user, but they often make more complex concepts approachable.

The Movable Type team recently released Movable Type 3.3, which brings several new features and core changes to the popular blogging tool.
Of course if you are running an older version of Movable Type you will want to upgrade. Fortunately you are not alone!

It looks like the next version could offer some very interesting features, but I wonder will they do anything about the installer.
